It has been a full 24 – hours since we got you! What a trip! You are much more active and opinionated than I imagined, but perfect nonetheless.
Yesterday I was so nervous while boarding the bus, and very emotional. When we arrived at the Civil Affairs office and got off the bus you were getting off your bus too! I didn’t believe those 6 babies were for our group, you all looked so small. Once we found out you were ours I searched the faces. Grandma picked you out right away, but I had no idea! We were escorted upstairs to 30 minutes of paperwork before we were introduced to you! It was so hard to wait knowing you were next door. When our name was called and you entered the room I cried, and cried. You are perfect. The hardest part of the whole time, however, was with your “Auntie”. She loved you. When it was near time to leave she held you and cried. She wanted to hold you and snuggle with you as long as possible. As I watched you both and cried myself I couldn’t help but think of and know how loved you are. You are loved around the world ~ by us, your auntie and your biological mother. I cannot imagine how difficult it was for her to give you up, but I pray she has peace knowing you will be loved forever by so many. You are so special, so perfect.
You have a very stubborn and determined personality ~ we know you will go far and prosper in life. As we watch you play and begin to smile more, we see so many expressions of Kiera in you. We know you will be the best of friends. You are peaceful and sleeping now. Sweet dreams little girl.
Love,
Mom
