It’s ‘Gotcha Day’!!! In a mere 8 hours we will meet you, our life-long daughter and dream. We know you are ready although the transition will be difficult on you. See you very soon! I love you.
Mom
Jenna –
Right now you are probably boarding a bus, saying goodbye to the only family you have known. I’m sure you are scared, sad, and lonely. I know we are going to look, smell, and sound very different to you. We love you so much already, but realize it will take time for you to love us. We will be patient.
Grandpa is here and ready to take pictures of Mom & Dad all day, leading up to the point we are finally able to hold you! Grandma is ready to help, and to be a grandma – to feed and hold you, and to play with you.
Mom and I are ready for our daughter, and Connor and Andrew are ready for their sister. Everyone is waiting for you in Alaska – You are the source of much expectation.
Jenna, you are very special. This is going to be a magical day, no matter what happens, and we are so grateful you are a part of our lives.
Love,
Dad
