Jenna ~ We are here!!! We arrived into Hong Kong 1 ½ days ago. The plane ride was quick and we all got some sleep. The first night we spent walking around the area. You live in a beautiful country. Yesterday we spent all day sightseeing. We rode the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island, visited the sided street shops and Central Market, took ‘the world’s longest escalator’ the whole distance, ate a cute alley cafe for lunch, rode the Peak tram up to Victoria Peak (incredibly beautiful views of Hong Kong and Kowloon). Rode a bus to Abordeen and took a boat tour through the junk ships/ sampans, took the ferry back to Kowloon & walked around the Promerade to see Hong Kong at night, and had dinner at a nice Vietnamese restaurant. A long and extremely fun, memorable day. Today will not be as eventful. We are meeting the Snell’s for coffee and taking the KCR train to Guangzhou. Once there we will check into the White Swan & get our room set up. Tonight our goal is dinner with Dan, Crystal, & Anna Grace, along with emails back home.
We meet you tomorrow. We are so excited, and so nervous. 32 ½ hours…
Love,
Mom
